parents were arrested for child endangerment and driving under the influence. >> san francisco may be getting thousands of new emergency responders very soon. tonight city college working to use students in it's programs to feed 14,000 people after the next earthquake. abc 7 news is live at city college to explain how it will work. >> this is a ambitious program. they can feed up to 50,000 people per day in the event of a major earthquake. this is a kitchen below the restaurant operated by city college students this, kitchen and three others in the city college system will be up to 13,000 meals prepared for san franciscoins in the events of a major earthquake. the students in the program will be emergency responders to set up the kitchens, cooking and dole out meals,

kimberly says she's ready. >> we're already a part of the program. they have our contact information. you know? if something were to happen they're able to contact, you know, a sig source of labor. >> the plant is still being cooked up. the director of the program says the schools kitchen and students will be able to support other agencies part of the emergency management system. >> we want to be able to open up the kitchens and use them for first responders to prepare soup. whatever is needed to feed citizens. >> the students will work here at kitchen buzz fill in gaps in places like salvation army kitchen on harrison street. >> this kitchen can produce up to 30,000 meals in a 24 hour period. >> the program is just the first step in this program to enlist and train some of the students who attend city

friends raising questions about the death of a south bay teenager, her name is audrey poths. her friends are wondering why it took so long for authorities to act. >> as shock wears off that the three teen-aged boys are going to face charges the legal system is working to move the case from juvenile to adult court. the attorney representing the parents say the district attorney is trying to make that happen. >> the way that this crime was
